Begin at Serekunda Market before travelling through towns and villages to Kubuneh. Take a one-hour boat trip through mangroves with opportunities to see birds and oyster collectors, then tour the village by donkey cart. Visits include the school, clinic, women’s garden, local artists and a palm-wine tapper, followed by lunch, traditional dancing and drumming, and a stop at Brikama’s wood-carving centre.
