Climate of the Gambia

The Gambia has sub-tropical climate and this climate is divided in two, the dry season and the raining season. The raining season starts end of May to the beginning of October.

During the period of the raining season the country is hot and sometimes cloudy. Before the rain comes it is the best time to see the entire country green and with more agricultural activities. The dry season is warm and every day sun shine is guaranteed. The wind is moderately hot and the land is less green.

The Gambia has an average day time temperature of 30 to 35 degrees. Around the coast the night temperature is about 20 degrees. But as more as you go the the East, the hotter it becomes.
